However, to meet both the opposites in one, an American motorcycle builder is about to unveil a new hybrid motorcycle that can be powered by a regular internal combustion engine, an electric motor or both together, delivering almost 200bhp. The masterpiece is the result of collaboration between Lawless Industries and Orange County Choppers, who designed a drive system allowing the rider to choose between the normal thud of a booming V-twin motor, or the silent whirr of an electric powerplant - or both. Featuring a touchscreen computer control system, cameras on the front and back and two electric motors, as well as the regular petrol powered V-twin, this hi-power hybrid produces 200 bhp if all the engines fire at once. The highly coveted stunner is known for a victory at the Pomona Six-Hour Enduro race in 1959, the D-Type’s last big win in the USA and is expected to fetch above $3.5 million.
